William Collins

William is a seasoned entrepreneur, board member, executive and advisor with over 30 years of international experience spanning clean energy, carbon markets, structured finance, and technology innovation. He was a Co-Founder of LO3 Energy, developers of a cutting-edge software platform integrating distributed energy data, blockchain technology, and utility systems to support bidirectional grid transactions. At LO3, he held multiple C-level roles including CEO, and was instrumental in strategic operations, IP and legal structuring, and raising capital from both strategic and financial investors.

William is also a Co-Founder of Progression Energy, a Renewable Energy project developer, where he led early-stage capital raising and secured a development partnership with a major European RE company. Earlier in his career, he served as Director of Commercialisation at EcoSecurities, managing a 20-person global team and one of the world’s largest private carbon portfolios. He pioneered structured carbon transactions, including the world’s first securitization of Kyoto Protocol derived CER contracts. Prior to carbon markets, William spent 15 years in investment banking in Asia as a derivatives and structure products specialist.

Steve Baczko

Steve brings over 20 years of experience in management, commercialization, project origination, and strategic consulting across carbon markets, natural climate solutions, renewable energy, and emerging markets. He previously served as Head of Business Development at Finite Carbon, a BP portfolio company and the largest developer of forest carbon projects in North America, where he led strategic growth, commercial partnerships, and market expansion.

Prior to that, Steve was Managing Director at NatureBank, an international forest carbon project developer and technical advisory firm. He began his carbon markets career with EcoSecurities/JP Morgan, serving as Head of New Markets and Senior Manager of Global Consulting. Steve also worked at the International Finance Corporation (IFC), where he helped launch the Grassroots Business Initiative. Earlier, he spent time in Vietnam managing sustainable supply chains for IKEA.

Steve holds a BA from Georgetown University and serves as an advisor to several climate technology startups. He is also the former founding Director of Oregon Business for Climate.

Will Close Brooks

Partner

Will brings over 20 years of experience in climate finance, carbon markets, natural capital, and clean energy project finance. He currently also serves as an Offtake and Investor Strategy Advisor for the Symbiosis Coalition, leading commercial due diligence and contract negotiations. Will was previously a member of the founding management team at Respira International, where he led origination and commercial structuring that built a global portfolio exceeding 20 million tonnes.

Earlier in his career, he practiced as a solicitor before transitioning to carbon markets as Legal Counsel and then as a principal in the structured transactions team at EcoSecurities. He has also held senior commercial roles at Investing For Good and SEFE Marketing & Trading, supported LO3 Energy on its European fundraising strategy, and advises NewAg Partners on large-scale regenerative agriculture in Brazil. He holds an LLB from the University of Bristol and an MA from the Diplomatic Academy of Vienna.

Peter Ebsen

Peter is a carbon markets expert with deep experience helping clients navigate the business opportunities and complexities of the transition to net zero. A lawyer by training, he has co-founded several companies in the climate sector, most recently serving as Chair and Head of Carbon at Net Zero Company, where he advanced the development of Digital Carbon Credits.

His past roles include co-founder of SilviCarbon (a VARO Energy company), General Counsel and structured transactions team member at EcoSecurities (acquired by J.P. Morgan), and Associate in Baker & McKenzie’s Global Climate Change Practice Group. Peter holds a doctoral thesis on the European carbon market and a master’s degree from Columbia Law School focused on international carbon markets.

Belinda Kinkead

Belinda brings over 25 years of experience in carbon markets, climate finance, and carbon project development, with deep technical expertise across nature-based solutions and emerging climate technologies. She currently serves as Director of Carbon at SilviCarbon, a leading carbon asset developer specializing in nature-based removal projects.

Her past roles include Head of Asia Pacific for EcoSecurities, Global Head of Implementation for its 350+ project portfolio, and Managing Director at Climate Link. Belinda also served as Director for Australia at LO3 Energy and has consulted for both the Asian Development Bank and the World Bank.

Her project experience spans China, India, Brazil, South Africa, Malaysia, and Thailand, with expertise in renewable energy, energy efficiency, fugitive gas capture, biogas, forestry (ARR & REDD+), and blue carbon. She is known for her ability to manage risk and drive value in evolving regulatory environments.

Toshihide Kubo

Toshihide Kubo (“Kubo-san”) brings over three decades of global business leadership spanning industrial development, carbon markets, renewable energy, and business incubation. He began his career at Marubeni, one of Japan’s largest trading houses, where he spent 25 years leading major steel plant projects, including the development of Sahaviriya Steel into a fully integrated steel mill. He later managed Marubeni’s Istanbul Main Branch and served as General Manager of the Business Incubation Department.

Following Marubeni, Kubo-san launched and led EcoSecurities Japan, spearheading the firm’s carbon credit and biomass trading initiatives. He later served as CEO of Canadian Solar Projects K.K. and President of Banpu Power Japan K.K.

Kubo-san holds a bachelor’s degree in Management Engineering from Keio University.
